Here’s a list of some of the gear I use and recommend. I’ll be continually updating this list as I get new stuff and I’ll try to take the time to add links and eventually review it all for you. Till then:
Clothes/Outerwear
- Patagonia Down Sweater – Versatile down jacket that’s lightweight and mega warm
- Columbia Titanium Omni-Dry Silver Ridge II Convertible Pant – Inexpensive and light convertible hiking pants
- Patagonia Trucker Hats – I know, it’s just a hat, but I think it’s cool
- Brooks Vapor Dry running gloves – Breathable gloves that keep my hands warm and moisture free when the mercury dips
Shoes/Boots
- Montrail Masochist running shoes – Best trail running shoes I’ve tried yet. I’m on my third pair.
- Saucony Progrid triumph 7 – The best road runners I’ve worn. Great for heavier pavement pounders like myself
Camping
- REI Quarterdome 3 person tent – Light on weight and high on features. What I’ve come to expect from REI brand gear.
- JetBoil Flash cooking stove – This ingenious system can boil water in about 90 seconds, conserving fuel and getting hot food in my belly faster.
- MSR mini water purifying pump – Hooks directly to your naglene style bottle and delivers clean, fresh tasting water quickly
…And sooooo much more to come!
